Spring Break Backpacking Trip

Often times, when you get to spend a day or two with a student outside the normal campus setting, the relational equity you will gain is more valuable than a year’s worth of weekly appointments.” -Dan Boone, Missional Team Leader at Oklahoma State Cru.

Spring break is a great time of the year. The warm afternoons make it exciting to finally get outside and the brisk evenings make a campfire feel perfect. For our spring break, 15 guys from OSU headed to the beautiful Buffalo River in Ponca, AR. Our goal for the was to backpack the Buffalo River Trail and to do just as Dan described, grow the relational equity I had with a handful of men. We had a blast in the process.

Thank you to Daniel Gates, Vance Crow and Colt Higgs for helping make this trip a possibility. I don’t think I could have cooked the pancakes fast enough on my own.

Enjoy some of the sights from the trip!
